Talking Translator Pro is a machine translation and dictionary suite. It supports eight languages, which combined make 23 language pairs. The languages supported are English, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian (in some operating systems).
The application uses machine translation software to provide you with translations. I have to say that the machine translator used by this app is one of the worst I have ever seen. It didn't even get one of the sentences that I tried it with right, not even the simple ones. The dictionary is ever worse. I tried "usage" and "couple" and neither of those words was found. Both the machine translator and the dictionary connect to some website to get their data, so you I am assuming that you can't use this application offline. Talking Translator Pro, as the name suggests, supports text-to-speech. The voices are very standard, and although on their website, they promise voices with accurate accents, that is not true.
The reader can read the text that you have just translated or a text file, rich text file, web page or the contents of the clipboard.
All in all, this app has a very nice interface, some interesting features, but the horrible quality of the translations it makes and a very limited dictionary spoil the experience for me.
